Nigel Driffield

Deputy Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Regional at University of Warwick

Nigel Driffield is currently the Deputy Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Regional at University of Warwick. Prior to this, they were a professor of international business at Aston Business School from January 2004 to December 2014. During their time at Aston Business School, they worked with a very dynamic and talented group of people on issues relating to international business, regional economics, finance and competitiveness. Nigel also worked with the LEP, on various issues around economic development, inward investment and the role of universities, building on the greater Birmingham project. In addition, they served on the Business and management REF panel for REF2014. From May 2000 to December 2003, Nigel Driffield was a reader and PhD director at the University of Birmingham.

Nigel Driffield received their PhD in Economics/IB from the University of Reading. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Arts in Economics at the University of East Anglia and their Bachelor of Arts in Economics & Maths from the University of East Anglia.
