Paul Stephens

Paul Stephens serves as the Director of Academic Studies in Law, Policing & Social Sciences and Principal Lecturer in Cybercrime & Digital Policing at Canterbury Christ Church University since 1999. Additional roles at Canterbury include Director of Quality in Law, Criminal Justice & Policing, Head of the Department of Computing, and Principal Lecturer in Computing. Outside of Canterbury, Paul holds positions as Supervisor/Examiner for Cyber Security & Management Projects at the University of Warwick and as External Examiner for various programs at Cardiff Metropolitan University, the University of Gloucestershire, and other institutions. Paul has contributed as an External Advisor for postgraduate courses at Politihøgskolen and worked with Abertay University and the University of Central Lancashire on external examinations and advisements. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Computer Science from University College Dublin, an MSc in Distributed Systems and Networks from the University of Kent, and additional diplomas and certificates in management and higher education teaching from The Open University and Canterbury Christ Church University respectively.
