Professor Andrew Clark currently serves as the Deputy Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education Policy) and University Academic Director (Undergraduate) at the University of Warwick, where Professor Andrew has worked since September 1993. In addition to his role as a professor, Professor Clark is a WIHEA Fellow and Director of Undergraduate Studies in Chemistry. Research interests include renewable materials and feedstock, organic chemistry, free radicals, atropisomerism, and medicinal chemistry. Professor Clark is also the Chief External Examiner at Manchester Metropolitan University and an Accreditation Visitor at University College Birmingham. Previous positions include postdoctoral researcher at the University of Nottingham and Columbia University, under the supervision of Professors Gerald Pattenden and Gilbert Stork, respectively. Professor Clark received a PhD in Organic Chemistry from King's College London and completed undergraduate studies with first-class honors in Chemistry from the same institution.
