Professor Simon Brake

Professor Simon Brake has extensive experience in academia and healthcare leadership, currently serving as Chief Officer for Innovation & Engagement and Visiting Academic & Honorary Professor at the University of Warwick Medical School. In addition, Simon holds the position of Group Director of Research & Development for South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust and is an Independent Reconfiguration Panel Member at the Department of Health and Social Care. As Chair of the West Midlands Veterans Advisory & Pensions Committee, Simon supports veterans and their families in the region. Other roles include Authority Member for West Midlands Fire Service and Visiting Academic at Coventry University's Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. Simon's previous leadership positions include Director of Strategy & Partnerships at the UK Health Security Agency and Chief Officer at NHS Walsall Clinical Commissioning Group. Simon's educational background includes an MBA in Public Administration from the University of Warwick and various qualifications from notable institutions, including Harvard Kennedy School.
