Barbara Clements

Barbara Clements, MBA, is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in media relations and content development. Currently serving as the Strategic Communications-Media Relations Manager at UW Medicine since April 2015, Barbara has successfully placed stories in prominent outlets such as The New York Times, NPR, and the BBC. Previous roles include Content Development Director at Pacific Lutheran University, where Barbara oversaw various multimedia storytelling efforts, and Principal Writer for BC Productions, specializing in investigative and environmental topics. With a solid foundation in journalism, Barbara has also held positions at The News Tribune and the King County Journal, enhancing skills in reporting and editing. Barbara holds an MBA from Pacific Lutheran University and a BS in Biology with a focus on Environmental Studies and Writing from Seattle Pacific University.
