Paul Sutton

Paul Sutton, MD PhD, serves as Associate Chief Clinical Information Officer and Associate Chief Medical Information Officer - Inpatient at UW Medicine, where a significant achievement includes leading the design and implementation of a Computerized Practitioner Order Entry (CPOE) project in 2012. With extensive experience at the University of Washington Medical Center and Harborview Medical Center, Paul holds positions such as Medical Director of the Hospitalist Service and Attending Physician. Previous roles include General Internal Medicine at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System and Chief Resident at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Paul completed medical education at The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, earning an MD, and holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Illinois Chicago, along with an A.B. in Anthropology from Grinnell College.
