Jon Preston

Jon Preston currently serves as Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs at the University of West Georgia, focusing on advocating for students, faculty, and staff while promoting interdisciplinary programs and industry collaborations. Jon has been actively involved with the Georgia Game Developers Association since 2008 and has served as a CAC Commissioner for ABET since 2012, conducting numerous program reviews across the U.S. Previously, Jon held various academic leadership roles at Kennesaw State University, including Dean of the College of Computing and Software Engineering, as well as positions at Southern Polytechnic State University, Clayton State University, and the Georgia Institute of Technology. Jon possesses a PhD in Computer Science from Georgia State University and multiple degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
