Shamilla Mirza-Patel

Shamilla joined the UWL SIM Team in 2022 as a Simulation Technician, having worked the last 9 years in the NHS in a dual role as a Simulation Technician/Resus Administrator within the Learning & Development directorate of West Middlesex University Hospital (part of the Chelsea & Westminister NHS Foundation Trust).

Shamilla has a background in IT having worked for the same NHS Trust in various IT related roles for a total of 19 years. She started her career there as a service desk analyst, progressing to manage the IT Service desk and then went onto become an IT Trainer. Prior to this she worked for Royal Holloway University supporting students with basic IT needs and also worked for several years in the private sector for an inspection company producing statistical reports.
