Dr Lesley Black studied English and German at the University of Aberdeen and then went on to complete a Ph.D. in German Sociolinguistics at the same institution. Whilst writing her Ph.D. Lesley held a variety of teaching, research, support and administrative roles in both Faculty and Professional Services. Lesley has experience of teaching at secondary level in both Scotland and Germany and at HE level in Scotland. She joined the University of Winchester as Disability Co-ordinator in 2005 and became Director of Student Services in 2019. Lesley is a member of the local governing body for Embley School, holding responsibility for safeguarding. She is a Fellow of the Leadership Foundation in Higher Education.
