Griffin Howson

Undergraduate Research Assistant at University of Windsor

Griffin Howson is currently a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Waterloo, focusing on theoretical condensed matter and materials physics. Previously, Griffin served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Windsor, conducting condensed matter physics research on the classical Kitaev honeycomb model while also engaging in atomic, molecular, and optical physics research with applications in biomedical fields. Griffin held leadership roles as Co-President of the Physics Club and Vice President of Communications & Outreach for the Ontario Science Students' Association, while also contributing as a teaching assistant and coordinator for various student organizations. Griffin obtained a Bachelor of Science in Combined Honours Physics & Mathematics from the University of Windsor and is pursuing a Master of Science in Theoretical Condensed Matter & Materials Physics at the University of Waterloo.
