Shane Burgess currently serves as the Interim Assistant AD for Event Operations and Director of Events at Wisconsin Athletics, responsible for overseeing department sporting events, special events, concerts, and external facility rentals specifically for Football and Men’s Basketball. Prior experience includes various event management roles at The Ohio State University, where Shane coordinated events for twenty-two teams across fourteen facilities, managed summer and winter camps, and ensured guest safety and compliance during events. Additional experience entails roles in event security for Columbus Crew Stadium and Nationwide Arena, as well as an athletic training internship with the Cleveland Browns. Shane holds a Bachelor of Science in Education with a focus on Sports and Humanities from The Ohio State University.
