Deborah Helman is a seasoned library and information services professional with extensive experience in science and engineering libraries. Since January 2005, Deborah has served as the Director of Science & Engineering Libraries at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, leading the development and delivery of library services to support research and education in these fields. Prior to this role, Deborah held various positions at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, including Director of Instructional Support & Library Services for the College of Engineering. Deborah's earlier experience includes serving as Director of the Kurt F. Wendt Library at MIT Libraries, Associate Head of the Barker Engineering Library at Boston University, and Physics, Chemistry, and Astronomy Librarian at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Deborah holds a Master of Science in Library and Information Science and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, both from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
