Mike Smith

Mike Smith currently serves as the Vice President of Governmental Affairs and Community Engagement at the University of Wyoming since August 2022. Previously, Mike held positions as Of Counsel at Holland & Hart LLP and Senior Counsel at Crowley Fleck Attorneys PLLP. A seasoned professional in regulatory affairs, Mike managed regulatory affairs for QEP Resources and served as Director of Regulatory Affairs at both QEP Resources and Questar Exploration & Production Company. Early career experiences include roles as an Associate at multiple law firms and a Law Clerk for the Honorable Wade Brorby at the US Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mike started in public service as a Legislative Assistant to US Senator Craig Thomas. Educational qualifications include a JD from the University of Wyoming College of Law and a BA in Secondary Education from the University of Wyoming.
