We are the University of York Students’ Union. We run independently from the University and are the go-to for all the fun stuff here at university. Whether you're into sports or are passionate about raising money for charity, want to join loads of societies or write for a student newspaper, we help you make university whatever you want it to be. We also offer a free advice and support service for when you need a bit of extra help and have loads of student jobs on offer so you can make a bit of extra cash alongside your studies. 

Campaigning on the issues that matter to you is also a huge part of our purpose. Your Sabbatical Officers and Part Time Officers (PTO’s for short!) are voted in every year by students, to fight for the issues that matter to you most. PTO’s also lead networks to put their ideas into action, so you can be involved from day one.

The Communication Team at YUSU is responsible for promoting the union's activities, services, and campaigns to students. They manage internal and external communications, ensuring students are informed about events, support services, and advocacy initiatives. By coordinating social media, newsletters, and promotional materials, this team engages the student body and fosters a vibrant campus community.
