Daniel Hug

MA HSG Daniel Hug, born in 1973, has many years of management experience in financial management and controlling. After completing his master's degree in finance, accounting and controlling at the University of St. Gallen, he joined the group controlling of the specialty chemicals company Clariant in 2002. He gained financial experience in various management positions and assignments in England, Hong Kong and Thailand and was most recently responsible for long-term financial planning as head of group controlling. He has headed the Finance Directorate since early 2023 and is responsible for the planning, management and further development of finance at the University of Zurich.
