Sarah Reno Tesol

Sarah Reno M.A TESOL has a diverse work experience in the education field. Sarah is currently working at University Prep Schools as the Content Lead for the Foreign Language Art Music Physical Education (FLAMP) Department. In this role, they empower teachers to implement Culturally Responsive Education methodologies and provides instructional leadership through observation and feedback. Sarah also facilitates communication between administration and teachers to implement school-wide practices.

Previously, Sarah worked as a High School Spanish Teacher at University Prep Schools, where they designed culturally responsive curriculum and effectively communicated expectations to students. Sarah also implemented systems to foster community cooperation and prepared differentiated lessons based on student needs and interests.

Prior to that, they served as an Elementary ELL Specialist at the American Nicaraguan School, where they worked with elementary students who were English language learners. Sarah also worked as a 2nd Grade Homeroom Teacher at Colegio Bilingue St. Mary's.

Sarah started their career as a 9th Grade World History Teacher at Miami Dade County Public Schools and taught for three years before transitioning to their other roles.

Sarah Reno received their Bachelor's Degree in History and Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Michigan in 2010. Sarah later obtained their Master's Degree in TESOL from Spring Arbor University between 2014 and 2017.
