University Preparatory Schools
Cassie Aten is an experienced educator with a strong background in elementary education. Currently serving as a 2nd Grade Literacy Teacher at University Preparatory Schools since June 2022, Cassie has previously held positions as a 1st Grade Teacher at Aurora Public Schools and a K-1 Teacher at Des Moines Public Schools. Additional experience includes teaching 3rd Grade at Academy 360 and 1st Grade at D2 Harrison Schools. Cassie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Teaching from the University of Northern Iowa and a Master of Education in Culturally Responsive Leadership and Instruction from Drake University.
