Mursal Kabir

Mursal Kabir has a diverse work experience in the nonprofit sector. Mursal is currently working at the University Settlement Society of New York, where they started in 2021 as a Grants Contract Manager and later transitioned to the role of Data Analyst in April 2023. Prior to this, Mursal founded the Mehr Charity Organization in 2018, a nonprofit association focused on uplifting needy families and supporting underprivileged children's education endeavors. Mursal also worked as a Research Assistant at the Moynihan Institute of Global Affairs from October 2019 to May 2021. Before that, Mursal served as a Senior Communications Officer at Counterpart International from July 2017 to July 2019. Mursal began their career in the nonprofit sector at Women for Afghan Women, where they worked as a Communications & Reporting Officer from July 2016 to July 2017, playing a significant role in developing the organization's Communication Strategy and increasing its visibility.

Mursal Kabir completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Finance, General from the American University of Afghanistan from 2012 to 2015. Additionally, Mursal Kabir pursued a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from Syracuse University's Maxwell School from 2019 to 2021.
