Sally Roldan has a long history of working in the field of special needs services. Sally started their career in 1988 as a Special Education Teacher at the East River Child Development Center, where they worked until 1990. Sally then joined University Settlement as a Special Needs Services Coordinator, a role they held until 2012. In 1990, they also began working as a Special Needs Services Manager at the University Settlement Society of New York's Early Childhood Center and Children's Corner. Most recently, in 2018, they became the Education & Special Needs Manager at the University Settlement Society of New York.

Sally Roldan attended The City College of New York from 1970 to 1975. During this time, they focused their studies on Special Education and Teaching.
