Anwer Hasan is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in engineering management and infrastructure services, currently serving as a member of the University System of Maryland Board of Regents since July 2023, appointed by Governor Wes Moore. Previously, Anwer Hasan held the position of Senior Vice President at WSP USA Inc. and contributed as a board member of the P-20 Council until December 2024. Anwer Hasan has also served as the Senior Vice President and Director of Water Services at The Louis Berger Group, and in various capacities within the Maryland Aviation Administration and the Maryland Higher Education Commission, where Anwer Hasan acted as Chairman from 2007 to 2020. Anwer Hasan's early career included pivotal roles at EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc. and Metcalf & Eddy, managing significant engineering projects across the Northeast. Anwer Hasan holds a Master of Science in Engineering Management and Business Administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology.
