Frank Schaefer

Frank Schaefer is an experienced pastor currently serving at University United Methodist Church since July 2014. Previously, Frank Schaefer was the senior minister at Zion Iona United Methodist Church from August 2002 to December 2013 and served as a minister within the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference of The United Methodist Church for 20 years. Frank Schaefer provided emergency pastoral care as a Chaplain Resident at Hershey Medical Center from August 2001 to August 2002. Educational qualifications include a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary, Clinical Pastoral Education from Penn State University, a Bachelor's degree in Religious Studies from the University of Valley Forge, and a translator certification from Dolmetscher Institut Duesseldorf. Frank Schaefer was defrocked in 2013 due to the refusal to denounce gay marriage.
