Waqar Jamil

Waqar Jamil has a diverse work experience in the field of Human Resources. Waqar currently holds the position of Head HR at Uniworth Dress Co. since February 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Samad Apparel, where they started as a Deputy Manager HR in July 2019 and later became a Senior Deputy Manager HR from March 2021 to February 2023. At Samad Apparel, their responsibilities included assisting the Group Manager HR in HR planning and maintaining a strong check on approved strength for hiring.

Before Samad Apparel, Waqar worked at NRS International as an Assistant Manager HR from January 2016 to June 2019. Their role at NRS International involved developing and executing recruiting plans and strategies, as well as attracting candidates for various job openings through different recruitment methods.

Their earliest work experience was at Sapphire Textile Mills Limited, where they served as an HR Executive from September 2012 to January 2016. In this role, Waqar assisted in the end-to-end recruitment cycle and maintained good relationships with placement offices of various institutes.

Waqar Jamil completed their Master's Degree in Human Resource Management from the Institute of Administrative Sciences at the University of the Punjab in Lahore, Pakistan. Waqar successfully obtained their degree from 2013 to 2015. In addition to their formal education, Jamil also holds a certification as a Certified Human Resource Management Professional, which they obtained from Highly Keen - The Management Institute in October 2017.
