Øyvind Holmstad is currently the Head of Engineering and Lead Platform Developer at Unloc, a position they have held since 2021. From 2013 to 2021, they were Overingeniør at Norsk rikskringkasting (NRK), where they were Team-lead and tech-lead for the recommendation team, working with personalization and content recommendation across NRKs services, and was part of the management team for NRK TV, and the management team for Data, Insights and Analysis in NRK. In 2009, they were a Developer in a summer internship at Telenor R&I (Research & Innovation). In 2008, they were a Researcher in a summer internship at Telenor R&I (Research & Innovation), which resulted in the publication "FOTA Researched".

Øyvind Holmstad completed their Master of Science in Computer Science from UiT- The Arctic University of Norway between 2006 and 2011. Prior to that, they completed their Allmennfag from Kvaløya VGS between 2003 and 2006.
