Angela McDermott is the Head of Programmes and Impact at WasteAid, focusing on waste collection and recycling programs in areas lacking them. Angela also serves as a Technical Expert in Programme Management at WasteAid, a Consultant Grant Assessor at The Fore, and holds various other roles in organizations such as UnLtd, Elrha, CDAC Network, CARE International, and Merlin. Angela's educational background includes an MSc in Biology & Control of Disease Vectors from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a BSc in Biology from the University of Bristol.

UnLtd's mission is to reach out and unleash the energies of people who can transform the world in which they live. We call these people social entrepreneurs. We are the leading provider of support to social entrepreneurs in the UK and offers the largest such network in the world. We resource nearly 1,000 individuals each year through our core Awards programme. We operate a unique model by investing directly in individuals and offering a complete package of resources; from Awards of funding between £500 and £15,000 to ongoing advice, networking and practical support. We also resource community entrepreneurs to start-up; support those with more established ventures to scale up; and are committed to developing an eco-system of support to make it easier for those who need help to find it.
