Pamela Girgis is a seasoned Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in diverse healthcare settings. Currently serving at UNLV Health since January 2023, Pamela focuses on supporting refugees and students in need within the Clark County School District. Previously, from June 2018 to October 2022, Pamela worked with Nevada Health Centers, providing vital services to underserved populations in Las Vegas Valley. Other notable roles include Clinical Manager at Over The Rainbow Pediatric Urgent Care and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at Nevada Pediatric Specialists. Pamela's earlier career included significant experience in pediatric emergency care at Sunrise Hospital and Huntsville Hospital, where responsibilities involved mentoring and delivering high-quality care in fast-paced environments. Overview In March 2016, the UNLV Board of Regents approved the framework and creation of the nonprofit corporation, UNLV Health, the clinical faculty practice plan of the the UNLV School of Medicine. The mission of UNLV Health is to provide a premier multi-specialty academic group practice and primary care physicians who strive to provide the highest quality health care. UNLV Health is a multi-specialty practice with over 350 employees, and 5 clinic locations with 151 providers. UNLV Health combines education and research within the treatment environment, and manages the faculty clinical practice. Through our clinical activity, our faculty practice plan supports the medical school’s missions of: • Providing exceptional medical care and superior patient experience. • Building clinical, education and research service lines and programs. • Translating leading scientific innovations into clinical practice. • Servicing the diverse health care needs of the southern Nevada region. • Providing learning experiences for graduate, and post-graduate medical education. • Be an environment for continuing education of physicians. • Maintain a fiscally viable clinical enterprise for the UNLV School of Medicine.
