Alejandro Rossi

Alejandro Rossi is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in climate action and sustainable development, currently serving as the Chief Technical Advisor on Climate Action at UNOPS since September 2023. Rossi's previous roles at UNOPS include Director of the Multi-Country Office for the Caribbean and Director and Country Representative in Costa Rica, overseeing significant infrastructure projects with a focus on gender inclusion and transparency. With a strong background in environmental policy, Rossi has held positions such as Regional Environmental Advisor for Latin America and the Caribbean and Coordinator for the National Commission of Investigation on Agrochemicals in the Ministry of Health. Rossi has also worked as Executive Director at ECOJURE and as a founding partner of a firm specializing in environmental law. Educational qualifications include a law degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina and various diplomas related to human rights and environmental regulation.
