Ariful Islam

Ariful Islam possesses extensive experience in monitoring and evaluation within the humanitarian and development sectors, currently serving as a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist at UNOPS since December 2015. Ariful has led significant projects funded by various agencies, including the FCDO and World Bank, focusing on sustainable energy, clean water, and health initiatives. Previous roles include positions at IBTCI, FHI 360, World Vision, and Dnet, where responsibilities ranged from developing monitoring systems to conducting evaluations and risk assessments. Ariful holds multiple degrees from Stockholm University and other esteemed institutions, with specializations in international relations and resource management, complemented by hands-on experience in GIS and project management.
