Chudamani Joshi

Chudamani Joshi, PhD, is a seasoned professional in the fields of ecology and plant taxonomy with extensive experience in various roles. From February 1985 to August 1996, Chudamani served as an Assistant Scientific Officer/Taxonomist at the Ministry of Forest and Soil Conservation in Nepal, focusing on plant taxonomy and the flora of Nepal. Subsequent roles include serving as a Program Management Advisor at UNOPS since October 2023, an Ecologist at the Ministry of Environment in Nepal from July 2007 to June 2008, a Researcher at ITC Enschede from September 1999 to June 2006, and a Special Advisor at the Embassy of Finland in Kathmandu from July 2009 to October 2023, specializing in development cooperation related to natural resources. Additionally, Chudamani worked as a Technical Expert on the Forest Resource Information System Project in Finland from August 1997 to August 1999, focusing on forest resource inventory in Nepal. Chudamani holds a BSc in Biology, an MSc in Plant Taxonomy, an MSc in Natural Resource Management, and a PhD in the Invasibility of Tropical Forest Ecosystems from distinguished institutions.
