Giulia Maci

Giulia Maci is a Senior Urban Specialist at UNOPS, where responsibilities include managing programs in the Mediterranean and Eastern Europe, focusing on gender-inclusive and climate-resilient urban development. In previous roles, Maci served as the Italian Coordinator for the Dialogue 5+5 at the Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale, leading a project proposal on circular and blue economies. Maci also coordinated the European Think Tanks Group at ECDPM, influencing EU external action policies through research, and founded Urbego, a platform addressing urban challenges with a collaborative approach. Earlier career experiences include positions as an Urban Specialist at COWI, Urban Programme Manager at the International Federation of Housing and Planning, and researcher at IHS Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies. Maci holds a Master of Architecture from Erasmus University Rotterdam, and additional education from the United Nations System Staff College.
