Ross Ballantyne is a seasoned advisor with extensive experience in governance and counter-narcotics initiatives in Central Asia and Afghanistan. Currently serving as a Senior Advisor on Central Asia and Afghanistan for UNOPS since June 2013, Ross Ballantyne provides critical guidance to the Kyrgyz government on e-Governance infrastructure and the establishment of an Electronic Unified Civil Registry. Previous roles include Human Rights Officer for the UN Political Office for Somalia and Provincial Planning Advisor for the Ministry of Counter Narcotics in Afghanistan, focusing on national counter narcotics strategies.
