Ali Bolak

Ali Bolak has worked in a variety of roles in the tech industry. In 2021, they became the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of unPLUG Dining, Inc. From 2018 to 2021, they worked at Pensa Systems as a Machine Learning Engineer and Infrastructure and Backend Engineer. In 2017, they were a Software Engineer Intern at Wasabi Technologies, Inc., where they worked closely with the Director of QA to test and validate the implementation and performance of the Wasabi Hot Storage System. In 2016, they were part of a team of three to implement the “ClassroomLiveStream” SDK for the CS241 System Programing class honors project at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. In 2015, they were a Software Development Intern at Invstr, a fintech company that provides brokerage services with social networking/fantasy finance for users on iOS and Android mobile platforms. During their six-week internship, they worked as a user experience tester.

Ali Bolak received a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Ali then went on to Stanford University, where they obtained a Managment Science, Engineering, SVIA Finalist in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies. Ali is an alumnus of The Hill School, where they obtained a High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates.
