Katie Wheatley

Katie Wheatley serves as the Head of North America and Head of Canada at Principles for Responsible Investment since September 2022. Previously, Katie held multiple roles at SHARE—Shareholder Association for Research and Education from August 2019 to September 2022, including Manager of Responsible Investment Education and Advisory, Manager of Reconciliation and Responsible Investment Initiative, and Project Lead for the same initiative. Prior experience includes positions with the Musqueam Indian Band as Acting Associate Director of Intergovernmental Affairs and Major Projects Coordinator, as well as roles as Government Relations Advisor for an independent consulting firm and Policy and Research Analyst for the Mikisew Cree First Nation. Katie has also contributed as a Research Intern at a Private Family Foundation and as a Community Organizer and Environmental Officer in various organizations. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Environmental Anthropology from the University of Saskatchewan and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Development and Anthropology from McGill University.
