Valeria Gonzalez Duarte

Valeria Gonzalez Duarte has a varied work experience. In 2022, they began working as a Product Manager for Unravel Carbon (YC W22). In 2021, they became the LATAM Feature Product Manager and Associate, Country Product Manager for Shopee, where they coordinated the launch of Shopee in Mexico and Chile, working to identify and solve country-specific pain points and localize the platform. In 2020, they were a Research Analyst for RIMM, researching and analysing qualitative and quantitative ESG data for specific industries. Valeria was also a Corporate Social Responsibility (Sustainability) Intern for Deloitte in 2020, leading the creation of the first sustainability plan for Deloitte Southeast Asia. In 2019, they were a Student Associate at the Cushing/Whitney Medical Library at Yale University. In 2018, they were a Shadowing Intern at Medican's Veterinary Clinic and a JY Pillay Global-Asia Programme Research Assistant and Research Assistant at Yale-NUS College.

Valeria Gonzalez Duarte attended Colegio Santa Clara from 2003 to 2015. In 2017, they began their Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies (Honours) at Yale-NUS College, which they are expected to complete in 2021. In 2019, they took part in the Visiting Students Program at Yale University, studying Environmental Studies, as well as the Chinese Language Program at National Taiwan University. Valeria also attended the Summer Institute for Bioethics at Yale University in 2020, studying Environmental Ethics.
