Susan Mitchell has a diverse work experience that spans several industries and roles. Susan started their career as a Digital Marketing Executive at ESB, where they managed digital strategies for various business units. Susan then worked at MediaCom Australia as a Digital Executive, handling media planning and implementation for clients. Susan then joined Navitas, where they progressed from Marketing Coordinator to Marketing Manager (Communications) and was responsible for driving the marketing strategy for Western Sydney University and SIBT. Susan later joined UNSW Global as a Marketing and Communications Manager, where they established strategic marketing communications planning to attract international students to UNSW pathway programs. Currently, they are the Head of Marketing, Future Students at UNSW College. In addition to their work experience, Susan has also traveled extensively, including trips to South East Asia, Dubai, Ireland, and Canada.

Susan Mitchell completed a Diploma in Search Marketing at the Digital Marketing Institute in 2013. Susan then pursued a Masters in Marketing Practice at the University of Galway from 2010 to 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (European) with French from University College Cork between 2006 and 2010. In 2008 and 2009, Susan attended IAE FRANCE - Écoles Universitaires de Management, though no degree or field of study was specified. Susan completed their secondary education at Christ King Secondary School, where they obtained their Leaving Cert in 2006. Additionally, Susan obtained an Accelerated Leadership Program certification from AGSM @ UNSW Business School in 2021.
