Mara Joseli Queiroz Vaughn

Mara Joseli Queiroz Vaughn is a seasoned educator and program coordinator with extensive experience in teaching and coordinating modern languages programs. Currently serving as the Spanish Program Coordinator at UNT Dallas since August 2018, Mara has been a Professor of Modern Languages and Literatures in Dallas, Texas, since 2007. With a Ph.D. in Spanish Language and Literature from Texas Tech University, educational contributions include developing and teaching undergraduate courses in Portuguese and Spanish, as well as coordinating Latin American and Iberian Studies. Additionally, Mara has experience as a business owner, education consultant, and languages interpreter, providing translation services across various fields. Academic qualifications also include a Master’s degree in Spanish and Portuguese Language and Literature, along with significant international study experience.
