Tonny Madsen has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Tonny currently works as a DevOps Architect at UNWIRE since 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Oticon A/S from 2015 to 2021, where they were also a DevOps Architect responsible for CI/CD pipelines and test systems.
Tonny served as the Chairman of the Danish Eclipse Association from 2006 to 2020, where they built a network and knowledge base around the Eclipse platform in Denmark. Tonny founded Black Dog IT in 2014, a software development company specializing in mentoring, training, consultancy, and product development based on the Eclipse platform.
From 2011 to 2014, Tonny worked as a Senior Systems Architect at Bording Data A/S, developing software solutions for Danish and Nordic companies. Tonny also held a position as an extern lecturer at the IT University of Copenhagen from 2009 to 2014, teaching model-driven development and domain-specific languages.
Tonny founded The RCP Company in 2006, focusing on software development, training, and consultancy based on the Eclipse platform. Before that, they worked at Anritsu from 1997 to 2006, primarily involved in the development of the MasterClaw product family for network traffic monitoring.
Tonny started their career at NetMan in 1993, developing TMN-based monitoring solutions. Prior to that, from 1987 to 1993, they worked at RegneCentralen (later ICL) in different roles, including system development for fault-tolerant UNIX and network management systems.
Tonny Madsen completed their high school education at Lyngby Statsskole from 1980 to 1983, with a focus on Mathematics. Following this, they pursued higher education and earned a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen between 1983 and 1990.
