Ulrik Bech Hald

Ulrik Bech Hald has extensive work experience in Android software development and embedded systems.

Ulrik Bech is currently working at Unwire, where they hold the position of Senior Android Developer since August 2019.

Prior to that, Ulrik founded their own software company, Rooftop Works, in 2010. As the sole owner and founder, they focused on Android software development and released two successful games on the Google Play Store. Ulrik Bech continues to work on new titles using Unity 3D and the Android Java SDK.

Ulrik also worked at Jayway as an Android Lead Developer from October 2017 to July 2019.

From 2014 to 2017, they worked at Unwire as an Android Tech Lead, where they played a key role in defining and driving the technical vision for the Android development team. Ulrik Bech focused on delivering top-notch applications within the public transit and mobile payment domains.

Before joining Unwire, Ulrik worked at Ixonos as a Chief Software Engineer from February 2012 to April 2014. Ulrik Bech'srole mainly involved Linux kernel and Android development for multiple customer projects.

Prior to Ixonos, Ulrik worked at Lumigon as an Android Software Developer from April 2010 to February 2012. Ulrik Bech developed and ported Android 2.2 for Lumigon's i.MX51-based phone platform.

Ulrik started their career at Infineon Technologies in November 2009, where they worked as an Audio Driver Developer. Ulrik Bech played a crucial role in designing and implementing a new audio driver architecture for the next generation ARM-based platform.

Before Infineon, they worked at Texas Instruments in various roles from July 2006 to April 2010. Ulrik Bech served as an Embedded Linux Developer, SW Build and Release Manager, and Software Developer. Ulrik Bech'sresponsibilities included software development for UMTS phones, integration of protocol stack software entities, and quality assurance.

At the beginning of their career, Ulrik worked as a student worker at Siemens Mobile Phones Inc. and BenQ Inc. from March 2004 to June 2006.

Throughout their career, Ulrik has demonstrated expertise in Android software development, Linux kernel development, debugging, and testing of protocol stacks, as well as configuration management and version control tools. Ulrik Bech has a strong track record of creating stable applications based on maintainable code bases.

Ulrik Bech Hald completed their education at Aalborg University from 2001 to 2006, where they obtained a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Control Engineering. Prior to that, they attended Viborg Katedralskole from 1997 to 2000, but no specific degree or field of study was mentioned for that period.
