Rebecca Knowles

Rebecca Knowles has a diverse work experience in the field of occupational therapy. Rebecca currently holds the position of Director of Research and Education at Unyte Health Inc. since September 2022, where they are responsible for overseeing research and educational initiatives. Prior to this role, they worked as a Research and Training Manager at the same company from January 2021.

In addition to their work at Unyte Health Inc., Rebecca has been involved in various other occupational therapy roles. In 2020, they worked as a Guest Lecturer at Midwestern University (AZ), where they shared their expertise with students. In the same year, they also established their own business, Rebecca Knowles OT, LLC, where they served as the business owner and occupational therapist.

Rebecca has also worked as an Occupational Therapist at National Jewish Health from September 2020 to January 2021, providing therapy services to patients. Before that, they worked as an Occupational Therapist at Bethany Nursing & Rehab Center from April 2020 to September 2020.

Rebecca's experience also includes working as an Occupational Therapist at HealthPRO Heritage from February 2020 to April 2020, where they provided evaluation, treatment, and discharge recommendations to adults in various healthcare settings. Rebecca effectively utilized Optima EMR/HER systems for documentation and complied with PDPM policy.

Prior to this, Rebecca worked as an Occupational Therapist at Cornerstone Healing Center from March 2019 to February 2020, where they developed occupational therapy programs and provided treatment to adults with substance use disorder. Rebecca also worked as an Occupational Therapist at Gateway Academy from June 2019 to December 2019, supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and developing behavior plans.

Before entering the occupational therapy field, Rebecca gained valuable experience as a Clinical Research Consultant at Phoenix Children's Hospital from January 2019 to May 2019, where they conducted needs assessments and developed training programs for shift workers. Rebecca also had a brief internship as an Occupational Therapy Student at Alaska Psychiatric Institute from June 2018 to October 2018.

Rebecca Knowles earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Rehabilitation Science from the University of North Texas, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Rebecca then went on to pursue a higher degree and completed their Occupational Therapy Doctorate at A.T. Still University of Health Sciences from 2016 to 2019.

In addition to their educational qualifications, Rebecca Knowles has obtained several certifications. Rebecca became an Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) in June 2019. Rebecca also obtained licensure as an Occupational Therapist from the Arizona Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners in July 2019 and from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies in October 2019.
