Amit Dawn has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the consumer goods industry. Amit began their career at Steel Authority of India Ltd as a GET before moving on to DHL Worldwide Express as a Product Manager. Amit then joined Henkel India Ltd as a Product Manager and was responsible for managing the company's largest and most profitable brand, Margo. Amit later worked at Reliance Industries Ltd as a Senior Manager.
In 2004, Amit joined Perfetti Van Melle as a Sr Brand Manager and later took on roles as Sr Branch Sales Manager, Branch Manager, and Sr Controller - Business Development. Amit led a team of almost 1500 people and was responsible for delivering top-line sales targets and managing the product mix and pricing.
In 2015, Amit joined Wipro Consumer Care (LDW) in Malaysia as Chief Executive and successfully positioned the brand Bio essence as a market leader in facial moisturizers. Amit also ensured significant growth for other brands and focus categories.
Currently, Amit is the Chief Executive of PT UNZA VITALIS, a business unit of Wipro Consumer Care, where they are responsible for driving profitable growth in Indonesia and making it one of the fastest growing FMCG companies in the country. Amit leads a team focused on product and process innovation, marketing, and ensuring excellent service for distributors, retailers, and export customers.
Amit Dawn attended St. Xavier's School from 1980 to 1990 where they completed their 10+2 level of education. After that, they enrolled at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee from 1990 to 1994 where they pursued a degree in Electronics & Communication and earned an Engineer's Degree. Following this, from 1995 to 1997, Amit attended the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow where they completed a PGDM degree with a focus on Marketing. Lastly, in 2019, they attended the London Business School for an Executive Education Program titled "Leading Businesses Into The Future".
