Orapan Tanthaprasart has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Orapan started their career in 2000 as an Investment Officer in Muang Thai Life Assurance Public Company Limited. Orapan then moved on to work as a Security Analyst at Merchant Partners Securities Co., Ltd. in 2004. In 2005, they joined the Securities and Exchange Commission in Thailand as an Executive Officer in the Investor Advisory Department. In 2006, Tanthaprasart became a Fund Manager in Thanachart Fund Management Co., Ltd., specializing in fixed income. Orapan then transitioned to Phatra Asset Management Company Limited in 2013 as a Senior Fund Manager in Fixed Income, a position they held until 2018. Currently, they are the Head of Investment Product Strategy and Solution at UOB Asset Management.
Orapan Tanthaprasart holds a Master's degree in Economics from Chulalongkorn University, which was obtained in 2001. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Economics at the same university in 1998. In terms of certifications, they have achieved the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 2 from the CFA Institute in 2009 and has obtained additional certifications in the field of asset management and sustainable finance from institutions such as the New York Institute of Finance and Coursera. Orapan also holds certifications from the Securities and Exchange Commission in Thailand as a Fund Manager and Fundamental Investment Analyst on Securities.
