Shamoun Siddiqui Ph.D.

Shamoun Siddiqui, PhD, CISSP has an extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the field of information security and technology.

Starting from 1991, Siddiqui worked as the General Manager of the Aerospace Technology Division and Computers & Communications Division at Advanced Engineering Research Org. In this role, they successfully managed multi-million dollar international aerospace and engineering research projects and played a key role in establishing information security procedures.

From 2000 to 2005, Siddiqui served as the Director of Information Technology at Ricoh USA, Inc., where they led the company through successful IT transformation initiatives and achieved historically low network and application outage rates.

In 2005, Siddiqui joined CVS/Caremark as the Manager of Information Security, responsible for building compliance programs and developing foundational information security policies.

From 2011 to 2015, Siddiqui worked as the Director of Information Security at Sabre Global, Inc., where they led an enterprise-wide program to enhance cyber security controls and measures in order to protect customer Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

Following this, Siddiqui joined Nationstar Mortgage in 2016 as the VP of Information Security and CISO, where they led a team in revamping the company's cyber security and regulatory compliance programs. Shamoun implemented a threat intelligence program and deployed new scanning and vulnerability management technologies.

In 2017, Siddiqui became the Vice President and CISO at Neiman Marcus, where they took on a leadership role in developing and implementing security strategies.

Currently, Siddiqui holds the position of Vice President and Global CISO at Upbound Group, starting from 2023.

Shamoun Siddiqui, PhD, CISSP, has a comprehensive education history that includes degrees in aerospace engineering and engineering with a minor in computer science. Shamoun obtained their PhD in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, where they studied from 1987 to 1991. Prior to that, they pursued their undergraduate and graduate studies at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) from 1980 to 1987. During their time at KFUPM, they earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master's degree in Engineering, with a minor in Computer Science.
