Ashley Elaine Rios, MS, CPSC has a wealth of experience in counseling and education. Ashley Elaine began their career in 2008 as a CARE Counselor at the FSU Center for Academic Retention and Enhancement, where they provided academic and personal peer counseling sessions, expanded students' understanding in the areas of multiculturalism and group dynamics, and planned and hosted social, cultural, and service events. In 2010, they held internships with the Florida Department of Children and Families as a Child Protection Investigator Intern, the Florida Secretary of Senate as a Document Center Clerk, and Florida State University Housing as a Conference Ambassador. From 2011 to 2015, Rios worked as a Professional School Counselor at Wellington High School, where they monitored graduation records, transcripts, and classes for 350+ students, participated as a member of the school-based team and determined interventions towards the improvement of school-wide student academic performance, and led and managed special testing for students with approved accommodations. From 2014 to 2018, they were a Professional School Counselor at Franklin Academy, where they managed campus culture systems through character-building practices and positive behavior incentives, collaborated on a team of five school administrators to develop the Positive Behavior Support, and created and implemented a 26-page Positive Behavior Support System Handbook for staff members. Since 2018, Rios has been a Professional School Counselor at Liberal Arts and Science Academy, where they advocate for underrepresented students and participates in equity and diversity initiatives, effectively collaborates cross-functionally to execute annual student recruitment presentations, and evaluates and grades admissions applications. Most recently, they were appointed as the Partnership Manager at UPchieve in 2022.
