Conor Sherman

Conor Sherman has over a decade of experience in various roles within the cybersecurity field. Conor currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Updater, where they are responsible for overseeing the company's information security. Prior to joining Updater, Conor was the VP of Security & Technology at ezCater. Conor has also worked as the President of Security Services at Cyber Defense Group, where they developed and managed national security consulting practices. Additionally, Conor has held leadership positions at CLEAR, Apollo Global Management LLC, and Old Mutual Asset Management, where they were involved in building security programs, implementing threat detection and response programs, and providing consultative advice on cybersecurity. Throughout their career, Conor has demonstrated expertise in incident response, security architecture, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence.

Conor Sherman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management, with a specialization in General Business, from Boston University. Conor attended the university from 2010 to 2014.

Prior to that, Conor attended Butte Community College from 2006 to 2009, where they obtained an Associate of Science degree, as well as certifications in CCENT (Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician) and MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional). Conor focused their studies in the field of Computer Science/Security.

In addition to their formal education, Conor obtained several certifications. Conor earned the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in March 2015. Conor also obtained the GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) certification from GIAC in June 2014. Furthermore, Conor achieved the CCNA Security certification from Cisco in August 2012. It's worth noting that they hold an additional certification as an MCITP Enterprise Administrator from Microsoft, although no specific month or year of obtaining this certification is provided.
