Karim Tawfic

Karim Tawfic has extensive work experience in marketing and advertising. In 2019, they founded and became the CEO of Upearance, a successful marketing agency in Montreal. Karim led various marketing efforts, including Facebook advertising, Google Adwords, social media marketing, email marketing, and website design. Upearance was recognized as the top B2B company in the Marketing & Advertising sector in 2020.

Prior to Upearance, Karim worked as a Marketing Coordinator at Sofdesk, where they contributed to the growth of two B2B SaaS products through social media, SEO, webinars, and email marketing. Karim also gained experience in A/B testing, KPI reporting, and conversion rate optimization.

Before that, Karim worked at ILABS as a Digital Marketing Specialist, focusing on PR, social media, SEO, and web design. Karim later took on the role of Affiliate Marketing Manager, where they managed affiliates and optimized their websites and ad placements.

Karim also has experience in sales and management, having worked as a Sales & Marketing Specialist at Centrale Nutrition and an Assistant Manager at Hertz and Little Burgundy Shoes. Additionally, they served as a Venue Host & Marketing Manager at MTL Nightlife, where they handled marketing strategies and organizational tasks.

Karim's earlier work experience includes roles at Diebold Nixdorf as a Call Management Coordinator and at Tommy Hilfiger as a Sales Associate.

Karim Tawfic completed their Bachelor of Commerce degree in Management from McGill University from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a DEC in Commerce from CEGEP - John Abbott College from 2009 to 2012. Karim also has a DES (High School Diploma) from College Beaubois, which they earned from 2004 to 2009. In addition to their formal education, Karim has obtained various certifications in areas such as Inbound Marketing, Google Analytics, and UI/UX Design.
