Mark Ortiz is a finance executive with more than 28 years of progressive advancement and diverse experience under the GE umbrella.
Mark was most recently the Global FP&A Leader and Chief Diversity Officer for GE Capital, supporting the CEO and CFO on all aspects of strategic planning, budgeting, and analysis.
Prior to this, as CFO and Controller of various GE Capital divisions including Energy Financial Services, Industrial Finance, and Fleet Services, Mark supported the businesses that delivered leasing, lending, and project finance services to various GE industrial businesses and commercial customers. In these roles, he executed on multibillion-dollar acquisitions and dispositions and partnered with functional leaders to drive significant organic commercial growth as well as cost reduction actions. He also drove reductions of the Finance IT footprint, developed a regulatory governance framework, and led significant process improvements in internal controls and statutory filings.
Mark is currently a board member and Treasurer of the Carver Foundation of Norwalk and former leader of GE Capital’s Hispanic Forum. Mark holds bachelor’s degrees in finance and economics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
