Miaoru L.

Miaoru L. is currently the Director of Model Risk Management at Upgrade, Inc. They previously held the position of Model Risk Manager at Zions Bancorporation from 2016 to 2025, where they specialized in validating models related to asset liability management, stress testing, and financial crime. Miaoru served as a lecturer and researcher at Washington State University and the University of Tennessee from 2010 to 2016, contributing to quantitative research in microeconomics and publishing multiple journal articles and reports. They hold a Ph.D. in Economics and a Master’s Degree in Statistics from Washington State University, as well as Master’s and Bachelor’s Degrees from the University of Tennessee and Dalian University of Technology, respectively.
