David Rodrigues

Lead Medical Advisor at UpHill

David Rodrigues has a diverse work experience in the medical field. David started their career as a General Practitioner in the Ministry of Health of Portugal from 2008 to 2019, where they also served as the Family Medicine Training Director. At the Universidade Nova Lisboa, they worked as an Invited Lecturer at the Nova Medical School from 2014, teaching medical students about evidence-based medicine and prevention topics, and conducting research on prescribing guidelines and cancer screening perceptions.

David has been actively involved in various professional organizations, including serving as the APMGF National Representative on EQUIP and being a member of the National Council for Audit and Quality of the National Medical Association. Additionally, they have worked as a Lead Medical Advisor at UpHill Software since 2020 and was a Consultant Scientist at INFARMED, I.P. from 2018 to 2020.

David also worked as a Medical Doctor at Hospital da Luz from 2010 to 2018 and at USF D. Jordão from 2010 to 2013. Throughout their career, they have contributed to medical education, research, quality assurance, and clinical practice guidelines.

David Rodrigues has an extensive education history in the field of clinical research and medicine. David obtained a MSc in Clinical Research from Universidade Nova de Lisboa in 2013. During the same year, they also completed the Clinical Scholars Research Training programs I and II at Harvard Medical School, specializing in clinical research. In addition, Rodrigues obtained a MsC in Regulation Affairs for Drugs, Biologics, and Medical Devices from Northeastern University in 2013.

Prior to that, Rodrigues completed their Licenciatura in Medicine and Surgery at Universidad de Santiago de Compostela between 2001 and 2007. Later, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medicine at Universidade Nova de Lisboa from 2015 to 2019. David was also a PhD student during the same period at the same institution.

In terms of additional certifications, Rodrigues completed the course "Stat2.1x: Introduction to Statistics: Descriptive Statistics" from edX in April 2013. Overall, Rodrigues has a strong educational background in clinical research and medicine.
