Paulo Marques

Paulo Marques is an accomplished data scientist with a diverse background in data science and research. Currently serving as the Lead Data Scientist at Uphold Inc. since March 2020, Paulo has held previous positions at Porto Business School as a Teaching Assistant and at Avlino Inc. as a Data Scientist. Paulo's career began at Feedzai, where involvement started in the Research Team before transitioning to Product. Significant research experience includes a postdoctoral position at the ICVS - Life and Health Sciences Research Institute, focusing on identifying MRI biomarkers for neuropsychiatric diseases, leading to over 40 publications. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Life and Health Sciences (Neurosciences) and an Integrated Masters in Biomedical Engineering, both from Universidade do Minho.
