Marsalis Byrd

Marsalis Byrd, M.A, currently serves as a High School Teacher at Uplift Education since July 2022 and is also a Teacher Fellow with the City Teaching Alliance. Prior experience includes a role as a Direct Support Professional at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health from November 2021 to May 2022, where Marsalis Byrd provided care to children and adolescents in a psychiatric residential treatment facility. Additional experience includes serving as a server at LongHorn Steakhouse and O'Charley's, where significant interaction with diverse clientele was essential. Marsalis Byrd holds a Master's degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from American University, expected in 2024, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Kennesaw State University, completed in 2022.
