Raquel Butner

Raquel Butner currently serves as an 8th grade social studies teacher at Uplift Education since June 2022. Previously, Raquel held the position of college advisor with the College Advising Corps, assisting high school seniors with college applications and navigating the college process from June 2021 to June 2022. Raquel's experience also includes serving as a brand ambassador at AEO & Aerie Store and as a student teacher at CE Jordan High School, where instruction focused on 9th grade world history. Prior experience includes working as a student caller for Duke's annual phonathon and interning for the Office of US Senator Kamala Harris. Raquel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from Duke University, completed in June 2021, and graduated from Saint Mary's College High School in June 2017.
